Day Passes
Cardiff Double Bass Day are pleased to be offering a range of day passes for our inaugural event, to cater to orchestral / classical double bassists of all ages and abilities.
Our planned activities will be suitable for any School Age Participants (Aged Between 11-18 Years Old), ranging from Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Players, across Grade 1 to Grade 8+ general standard / ability.
We will also be welcoming any Adult Amateur Players (Aged 19-99 Years Old!) too, particularly those who are active in their local amateur orchestral scene, and generally playing around Grade 5-8 standard.
Our planned activities will also be an unmissable opportunity for any first study double bassists currently studying at any music college or conservatoire (whether undergraduate or postgraduate), as well as any university music students majoring in performance. We also welcome recently graduated students provided they graduated in the past 2 years.
For those college / conservatoire students wishing to really make the most of their time with us in Cardiff, we are also offering potential add-on of actively playing in the masterclass sessions. Book early to avoid disappointment, as spaces will be limited. Please note our masterclass session will also be open to all participants to watch and listen as observers.

Please select the pass you feel fits best, and we’ll request more information about each participant to ensure the placement of all participants in an appropriate group.
Adult Amateur
Players
Adults: Aged 19-99 Years Old
Approximate Standard: Grade 5-8+
[Minimum Age: 19 Years Old]
For adult amateur participants playing regularly as amateur bassists in their local orchestras. If you are unsure about what grade / standard you are currently playing, get in touch!
Music College
Students
This ticket is for anyone studying Double Bass as their first study instrument at Music College or Conservatoire, including Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
We also welcome recently graduated students (the past 1-2 years max), and also any University music students majoring in Performance.
Non-Playing
Observers
This ticket is for Parents and Care-Givers of School Age Participants (Under 16 Years of Age) and / or Parents and Care-Givers of School Age Participants with Complex Neurodiverse or Additional Needs (Any Age).
This pass will permit them access backstage to attend as non-playing observers. Read more information below.
