Travelling by Car
Cardiff is served by the M4 and is easily accessible from all parts of Britain. From the south west, take the M5 and from the south of England, follow major A-roads to the M4.
From Scotland, the north of England and the Midlands, travel via the M50 to the M4.
Travelling East / M4: Leave the motorway at Junction 32, follow the A470, sign-posted to the city centre. As you follow this route, the University is signposted alongside the National Museum.
Travelling West / M4: Leave the motorway at Junction 29, follow the A48(M)/A48, sign-posted Cardiff East and Cardiff South. Continue for approximately seven miles towards the City Centre, where the University is signposted alongside the National Museum.

Parking
Cardiff University’s Music Department is in the heart of the Cathays Park area of Cardiff, surrounded by various University buildings, and the offices of the Welsh Government.
This includes a range of pay-and-display street parking options along Museum Avenue, King Edward VII Avenue and College Road. Pay-and-Display tickets can be purchased via cash / card / contactless machines throughout the area.
Alternatively, it is possible to pay by smart phone via the MiPermit app (Apple App Store / Android Google Play Store), selecting your chosen location Museum Avenue (753051), King Edward VII Avenue (753044), College Road (753029). Please see the map below.
Parking on Sunday from 10:00-17:00 is £10 total, and otherwise free outside of these specified times. The nearest parking area to the venue entrance, is the far-north end of Museum Avenue. Please take care whilst crossing Corbett Road, especially with instruments in hand!
